Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2016 at the age of 93. She was born to Carl & Effie Engstrom on December 30, 1922 and was a member of Gunnisonville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Green served on the Missions & Social Concerns Committee, and enjoyed working at Trinket & Treasures, and the Christmas Bazaar for the church. In health she did all kinds of crafts creating many memories for her family. Her family also enjoyed her ability to create wonderful baked goods and special dinners.
Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her devoted husband Charles, and son Charles, Jr., five siblings, Jack Engstrom, Donald Engstorm, Jean Warner, Wayne Engstorm, and Lenore Engstorm. The following family survives her, daughters, Caroline (Charles), Colleen (Ralph), Brenda (Ronald, Sr.), Charlene (Christopher); ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandsons, and her beloved dog Annie. Her family and those who know her will miss such a wonderful woman.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home 1 hour prior to the service. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the funeral home.
