Betty J. Barrett

Clarksville, MI

Age 81, our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away December 13, 2019. Born September 10, 1938 in Lake Odessa, MI. Betty went to school for her nursing degree and later a phlebotomy degree. She retired Laurels of Kent after many years of service. She was a member of the Jackson-Mutschler V.F.W. Post #4461 of Lake Odessa, Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting, bowling, archery, bingo, and gardening, She was a great Mom!, and was baby sitter of the Lafayette Gang.

Surviving are her daughters, Rita K. (Donald) Rittersdorf, and Susan B. (Gregg) Drew; 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Mary Curtis and Ann (Wayne) Potter; brother, Kenneth “Jack” (Kathleen) Archer; aunt, Grace Kenyon; sisters-in-law, Cecelia Still, and Sharon Barrett; brothers-in-law, Ray Rice, and Gerald “Jack” Barrett; and many other family members and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, David P Barrett in February; and her parents, Kenneth G. and Rita E. Archer.

A luncheon honoring Betty will be 12:00 Noon, Friday, January 3, 2020 at the Jackson-Mutschler V.F.W. Post #4461 of Lake Odessa, 1104 2nd Ave., Lake Odessa, Michigan 48849. Interment will be private.
