Brenda was a kind hearted, welcoming neighbor and dear friend to our family while we lived on Cooper Avenue from 1977 - 1981.  She baked little pies for Charley and Luke, babysat for them and just loved us all.  I can still see her standing in the road, waving goodbye to us as we drove to our new home in Wisconsin. 

Brenda turned into a penpal keeping in touch all these years, we shared bits of our lives in notes, calls and prayers for each other and our families.  She was such a special person.  My heart aches for her children, grandchildren and sister.  They were the light of her heart and soul.  And I know she will be missed.

My first fun memory of this joyful woman was the day I saw her with Stan decorating their entire yard for Halloween!  I mean the inside of the house too.  It was just so fun when they did this event for all of us on Cooper Avenue to enjoy.  I loved watching Brenda and Stan just love their family.  It was a pleasure to see parents truly enjoy their children.  I learned alot from their example. 

My second favorite memory is the day Brenda and I discussed the possiblity of her being pregnant with her Jonathan.  It was so real and honest like two girlfriends chatting away, sharing our dreams and hopes.  I felt privileged to visit her when he was born, knowing I was the second to know about her Jonathan!!  I felt so grateful to hear Jonathan was able to be with Brenda at the hospital.  This is so precious and peaceful for me to know.

From the day my BFF introduced me to Brenda and Stan I have been one of the family. I have so many memories of Brenda from crafting to movies and dinner but one of my favorites was our trip to South Haven to the paper store. Brenda laughed so much that day last summer. The day isn’t complete unless you stop for ice cream  at the ice cream dairy.   Brenda’s eyes lite up like Christmas when she seen her large cone served in a paper boat. She ate the entire portion. The girl loved her ice cream.  Brenda I will forever miss you but I know you are with Stan, Mark and your Mom and Dad. What a reunion that must of been. My friend fly high until we meet again🤗🤗🤗RIP my dear dear friend

I will never forget the time I took her shopping to Logan Square! Aunt Brenda being one to never pass up a bargain, saw a paper bag sitting in the parking lot, she just had to see if it was something anyone could use. Turned out it was used….old kitty litter!! We laughed so hard over that!! RIH Aunt Brenda!!

Brenda was always like a big sister to me.  She was there for me whether I needed someone to watch my kids or a place to hang out and someone to talk to.  I loved her and her family very much.   My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.  ❤️🙏

Aunt Brenda was always kind and nurturing to everyone she knew. She had a big impact on my life as a child and I will walkways cherish my memories of her. Much love to the family. 

Brenda has left a legacy of love for her children, grandchildren, family and friends.  She was happiest when all for the family was together.  She and her husband Stan were an example of a true love as they spent over 50 years together and adored each other as much at the end as they did at the beginning.   I will miss her forever.  She was a gentle soul who took great pleasure in the simple things in life - a beautiful day at the lake with family, a good garage sale, a chance to dine out, a good movie, a craft project with the Golden Girls.
