Carlon Edward Tharp was born on July 13,1934 in Greenfield, TN, the son of Edd Snow and Lula Pearl (Box) Tharp, passed away October 27,2018 at the age of 84. Carlon retired from Motor Wheel after nearly 40yrs as a Fork Truck driver. Carlon also was a Veteran of the US Army. He married Connie Mae(Williams) Tharp on December 10th, 1966.
Carlon is preceded in death by his parents, Lula and Edd; Father and Mother in law, Ione and Forrest Williams; Brother, Elbert Lloyd Tharp; Sisters, Margret Morrisett, Nell Stepp and Sue Horton; Brother In-laws, Dick Morrisett, Clyde Horton, Arthur Stepp, Richard Williams(Marilyn), and Russell Williams (Donna; Sister in-laws, Patricia Knuth(Larry) and Vivian Tharp(Will-Ed); Great grandson, Keagan Tharp.
Surviving are his wife of almost 52 years Connie; Sons, Brian Keith Tharp and Tim Alan (Rose Thompson) Tharp; daughter, Jennifer Leigh (Richard) Wilson. 7 grandchildren, Aimee Bradley, Brian (Nicole)Tharp II, Ashley Tharp, Blake Tharp, Courtney Tharp, Alaina Wilson and Austin Wilson; 6 great grandchildren, Gavin, Chloe, Vivian, Skylar, Paisley and Lincoln; Brothers, Will-Ed Tharp and Jerry (Connie) Tharp; Brother and Sister in-laws, Gale and Shirley Coy, Bob and Doris Williams, Marilyn Williams and Donna Williams, along with several Nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00PM on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Gorsline Runciman 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the funeral home.
