Our beloved mother was born July 28, 1925 in Crystal, MI, the daughter of Matthew and Lina (Davenport) Mayes, passed away February 20, 2012 at the age of 86. Mrs. Ruby retired from CATA after many years of service. She wintered in Florida, she enjoyed her church and church activities and the company of her longtime friends. Preceded in death by her parents; and husbands, James T. Wickman and Donald Ruby. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Joyce (John) Vozar, Jacqueline (Jerry) Rosher, and Marie (Al) Wickman-Leslie; sons, James (Linda) Wickman, Jr. and Jerry (Amy) Wickman; brother, Robert (Sandy) Mayes; sisters, Sally Thompson and Jane Lucas; 20 loving grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, February 27, 2012 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Eastlawn Memory Gardens.
