

She was a part of the ministry and church organist at Faith Tabernacle Church on West Mt. Hope Ave. in Lansing.
Chick was born in Lansing, MI on July 10,1948. Her parents were Jack and Mildred Slocum. On January 8, 1966, 54 years ago, she and her husband, John Wesley Dunn were married. They had three children. The oldest, Amy Jo, died in 1973 when she was struck and killed by a vehicle. She was seven years old. Chick is also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ted Slocum.
Surviving are her husband, John of Potterville; daughter, Debra Ann Cronkhite of Potterville; son, Thomas Ellis Dunn of Grandville, MI; granddaughter, Jessica (Jeremy) Dye of N.Y.; grandson, Ryan Cronkhite of Potterville; granddaughter, Meagan Michaels; one sister, Delores LaPorti of Lansing; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn Hastings, Dana (Mel) Jackson and Lisa (Russ)Davis; a very special friend Carol Parry and many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and church family.
A graveside service for Chequeta will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 12:00 p.m East Lawn Memory Gardens, 2400 Bennett Rd, Okemos, MI 48864.
