

He graduated from Penacook High School in 1948. He received a Civil Engineer degree from University of New Hampshire in 1954. He received a Masters degree in Transportation from Berkley, CA.
He married Mary Ann Hagin on August 18, 1956 in Forks, WA.
He served two years in the Army in Japan. David began working for the Bureau of Public Roads (now called Federal Highway Administration) in 1956. He retired December 1988.
David was very involved with his church. He was an elder, Clerk of Session, adult Sunday School teacher, Sunday School superintendent and pastor search committee member. He also was involved with the Boy Scouts. He was Advancement Chairman for the Eagle Scouts. He enjoyed working with the young men.
David is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, daughter, Elizabeth, sons, David (Jennifer) and Stephen (Nicole), grandchildren, Sophia, Ana, Vivienne, Henri, Samuel and Ella Jane. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, siblings, Richard, Roger, Robert, Barbara and Kenneth.

A memorial service for David will be held at Eastminster Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m.
