Erma Thelen

Age 92, our loving mother, grandmother passed away April 9, 2007.

Erma's family was her life. She was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church.

She enjoyed watching Detroit Piston basketball. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold in 1969; her parents, Joseph & Mary Schafer; 2 sisters, Marian Schafer, and Kathryn Mueller; 4 brothers, Harry, Jerry, Ray, & Lee Schafer. Surviving are her 3 children, Carol (Edgar) Sinnott, Larry (Jeannine) Thelen, and Chris Thelen; 6 grandchildren, Becky (Troy) Mox, Katie (Liam) Randall, Sarah (Fiancé, Patrick Garrett) Thelen, Patrick (Kristin) Sinnott, Kelley Sinnott, and Michael Sinnott; brother, Arthur (Mildred) Schafer; 3 sisters-in-law, Betty Schafer, Burelene Schafer, and Loretta Thelen; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Wednesday (Today) with a 7:00 P.M. Wednesday Vigil Service in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Liturgy is 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 12th, at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing, with Fr. John P. Klein presiding. Rite of committal St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
