F. Maxine Cooley

Maxine went home to be with her Lord and Savior, following unexpected surgeries with complications September 27, 2011.

Age 89, she was born March 23, 1922 in Leroy Township. She faithfully attended Holt Baptist Church. Maxine volunteered at Child Evangelism Fellowship’s Capitol Area for many years.

Preceding her in death were her husband of 58 years, Clifford C. and daughter-in-law, Connie Jo Cooley.

Surviving are her children, Robert of Bath, Arthur of Adrian, James (Kathy) of Lansing, Carolyn (Kerry) Darling of Lansing and Shirley (David) Hoover of Holt; family friend Rosemary Johnson; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the Gorsline-Runciman Funral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing with Pastor Fred Froman officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday September 30, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Those desiring may make contributions to Child Evangelism Fellowship’s Capitol Area or McClaren Hospice of Lansing in memory of F. Maxine Cooley.
