Flora "Patty" Patricia Perales

Flora Patricia “Patty” Perales passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, from this temporary home to her eternal home in heaven on November 21, 2024. The angels rejoiced in a grand celebration as she was greeted by her Lord Jesus Christ and her daughter Juliet.

Patty was born March 9, 1942 to mother Julia Navarro. She met her one true love Al “Fred” Perales at Eastside Apostolic Church and they were married December 17, 1960. In their nearly 64 years together they continued to model what happily ever after looks like. They had three children, Juliet, Melanie, and Spencer.

Patty retired from 20 years of service at GM as secretary to the plant manager. After her years at GM she worked as a wedding planner at Dusty’s English Inn. She was an active member of Pentecostals of East Lansing Church. Patty was a truly gifted woman with many talents and interests. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing, cooking, painting, gardening, antiquing, reading, writing, playing games, shopping, decorating, and dessert! If you needed it, Patty could do it. She could sew your wedding dress, make your baby a quilt, write your term paper or resume, direct your skit ,design your set and sew the costumes, organize your party, and cook your dinner!

She was good at so many things but above all else she excelled at loving God and loving people.

Nothing made her happier than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Spoiler alert: you were all her favorite! Patty adored her family and continued to add to it by adopting numerous bonus children and grandchildren who all adored her in return.

Patty is preceded in glory by her daughter Juliet Warren. She is survived by her loving husband, Al “Fred” Perales; son-in- law Doug Warren; daughter Melanie Sanchez ( Lupe Sr.); son Spencer (Annie); mother, Julia Navarro; sister Vickie Lopez; grandchildren Cole Warren (Chelsea), Jered Warren, Kaitlin Warren, Lupe Sanchez Jr. (Abby), Marcela VanWagner (Josh), Marretta Plante (Riley), Marco Sanchez (Ciera Spencer), Ashley Farran (Richie), Austin Perales (Caitlin O’Keefe); 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 2:00 p.m.to 4:00 p.m. and again at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gorsline-Runciman Tiffany Chapel, 3232 W. Saginaw St., Lansing, MI 48917.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. at Liberty Church, 12745 Georgia Ave, Ste M43, Grand Ledge, MI 48837.
