Anyone who knew Smokey knew that he was larger than life and a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. Smokey loved spending time outdoors and could often be found golfing or fishing when he wasn't at home or with his family.
Smokey is survived by his wife of 47 years Sheri; daughter Shannon Wilson (Matt) of Livonia; son Nicholas Morse (Jamie) of Lansing; beloved grandchildren Matthew Wilson, Alexander Wilson, Emma Morse, Ethan Morse, Evan Morse, Gabriel Pollitt and Logan Pollitt; sisters Debbie Miner and Judy Kline (Jerry); brother Scott Morse (Sheila); many nieces and nephews; and his furry children Max, Murphy, and Tigger. He is preceded in death by his parents Don and Gerry Barnes.
The family humbly requests that all donations be sent to Silver Muzzle Cottage at www.silvermuzzlecottage.com.
There will be a private Celebration of Life held at a later date.
