Age 79, our loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away April 1, 2015. Born June 10, 1935 in Marilla Twp, Manistee Co., MI
Fred retired in 2010 from Bannasch Welding in Lansing after 44 years of service as a welder. He was active and past master of Boy Scout Troop 111.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Faith L. (Porter) Richard; his children, Bryan (Joan), Fred (Bedee), Edward (Susie), Linda (Tony) Austin, Tammy, Nicholas, Kevin, Roger (Kim), April, and Marquis (Jill); 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Hope (Robert) Richardson; brother-in-law, John (Chris) Porter; and many friends. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Marquis & Lorena; 4 brothers, and granddaughter, Keri Richard.
Visitation is from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday and from 10 to 11 A.M. Saturday with Services 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 4, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing, MI, with Pastor Jim Green officiating. Interment in Hillside Cemetery in Delta Mills. Contributions may be made to S.P. Y. S. in memory of Fred.
