Frederick "Big Fleet" Montgomery Turner

Frederick Montgomery Turner, age 50, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away on September 17, 2023. He was born on July 1, 1973, to loving parents Ronald and Janice Woodard in Lansing, Michigan. He was married to Melissa Sousa on March 14, 2019, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Frederick spent the majority of his life as a dedicated truck driver, accumulating 25 years of experience in the field. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family.Born and raised in Lansing, Michigan, Frederick made a significant move to Arizona in 2013, where he began a new chapter in his life alongside his beloved wife, Melissa. Throughout his life, Frederick had a passion for motorcycles and cherished spending time with his family. His love for his family was unwavering and evident in the joy he found in their company.

Frederick is survived by his devoted wife, Melissa Sousa, of Phoenix, Arizona, and their children: Frederick Turner Jr., Daquon Turner, Raymond Cruz, Nick Sousa, Zach Benavente, and Iliyah Nickson. He also leaves behind a cherished legacy through his grandchildren: Frederick III, Paetyn, Daquon Jr., Donaven, Delilah, Ryan, Jacob, Brayden, Adrian, Carson, Khloe, Gonzalo, and Jackson. In addition to his immediate family, Frederick is survived by his siblings: Ronald Turner, James Vanous, and Monique Bohanon. He leaves behind a loving network of extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Frederick's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His dedication to his family and his zest for life will serve as an enduring inspiration to all.

A memorial service to celebrate Frederick Montgomery Turner's life will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 11:00am at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home (900 E. Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI). Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10:00am.
