Gearoldine Evelyn Bishop (Potter), 84, passed away on July 8, 2024, in Grand Ledge, Michigan. Born on August 12, 1939, in Stittsville Michigan, she was affectionately known to her friends and family as Gerri.
Gerri graduated from Lansing Everett High School and spent her career as a dedicated Secretary for the State. In her retirement, she pursued her passion for reading by volunteering to help others learn to read, showing her commitment to literacy and community service.
She was a loving woman, known for her kindness and nurturing nature, despite battling Alzheimer's disease in her later years. Gerri also had a keen interest in genealogy, dedicating time to uncover and preserve her family's history.
Gerri is survived by her husband, Thomas F. Bishop; son, Steve Bishop and his wife, Julie; grandson, Jacob Bishop; siblings, Roger Potter and Christy Kobylinski; nieces, Julia Dale and Danielle Vallejo; and nephew, Santiago Almendarez. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
