Geraldine Palmer

Gerry Palmer, age 83, passed away on August 3rd, 2014 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Gerry was born in Lansing, MI and moved to Carson City as a teenager, where she met Jack, her husband of 62 years. Together they raised 8 children. She was preceded in death by her eldest son Thomas Palmer and is survived by her 7 children and spouses, Irene (Jeff) Page, Mark (Lisa) Palmer, Mike (Pam) Palmer, Joan (Dave) Hummel, Brenda (Mark) Emmert, Linda (Tom) Willard, and son David Palmer. Gerry was also blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gerry was a very devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and always loved having family and friends around. Gerry was at her best when playing a great game of euchre and constantly reminded everyone that she "had no friends or family when it came to the card table". In retirement Gerry and Jack moved to Coldwater Lake in Weidman, MI and lived there for nearly 30 years, making more great friends and card partners. A memorial service for Gerry will be held at the chapel in St. Joseph cemetery, 2520 W. Willow St. in Lansing, August 11, 2014 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Sparrow Hospice Services, 1210 W. Saginaw St., Lansing, MI 48915. A luncheon will be provided after the memorial and everyone is welcome.
