Gladys Campbell

Lansing, Michigan

Age 94, our loving mother and grandma passed away at home with her family on February 8, 2020. Born July 17, 1925 in Gleason, Tennessee. Gladys had a career in retail serving in several roles for over 50 years working at Arbaugh’s which became Wurzburg’s and later at J C Penny and Value City. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and gardening, but most of all she loved crocheting and making quilting for her family.

Surviving are her 3 children, Samuel (Nancy) Campbell, Carolyn Nash (fiancé, Kenneth Schrader), and James Donald “Don” (Christine) Campbell; son-in-law, David Lyons; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; sister, Ruby Farr; brother, Jerry (Sue) Williams; sister-in-law, Sue Williams; and many other family members and friends. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Otis R. Campbell in 1981; daughter, Margaret Lyons in 2001; her parents, Pearl and George Williams; 2 brothers, Harry Williams, and Fred (Karel) Williams; brother-in-law, Norman Farr.

Services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, February 12, at East Lawn Memory Gardens Chapel, 2100 Bennett Road, Okemos, MI 48864 with Chaplain James Magee of Mid-Michigan Home Health& Hospice officiating.
