Helen Marie Bodo

Helen Marie Bodo, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 16, 2015. Helen was born September 16, 1924 in Lansing, Michigan to Orva and Mabel (Perkins) Rohrbacher. She retired from Beurmann Marshall after 26 years. Helen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and especially watching her husband play softball. She was a Detroit Tigers fan, and MSU basketball fan, and enjoyed working in her flower gardens, bowling, and square dancing. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John Bodo, Jr., her parents, five sisters, and two brothers. She is survived by her children, Randy Bodo and Beverly (Don) Reaves; her six grandchildren, Nicole (Brian) Kent, Debra (Joe) Cooper. Andrew Bodo, Christan (John) Carlson, Corri (Brian) Broyles, and Doug (Crista) Reaves; fourteen great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jaynee, Hannah, Jarret, Elizabeth, Mitchell, Rachel, Ella, Keegan, Grady, Annabel, Michael, Charlotte, and Addison; her sister, Mary Lou Crissey; her sister-in-law, Eva Rohrbacher; and her loving cat, Queenie. Funeral services for Helen will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 11:00am at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 4pm to 6pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens in Lansing.
