

Born in York, Maine in 1938, Inez received her Bachelor of Science from Boston University in bacteriology and subsequently a Masters in the same field. She initially worked at Johns Hopkins University before relocating to the Midwest. She worked for many years at the veterinary clinic associated with Michigan State University.
Inez, known also as JoAnn or Joan, had a marvelous sense of humor and was a true and gentle spirit. She was devoted to her children, and loved them selflessly. She was a woman of many interests; volunteering in the community, supporting her local public library, and always swimming as much as she could. She was a true and loyal friend, as evidenced in the many and varied dear souls she surrounded herself with.
Inez is survived by three sons; Derek, Christopher and Joseph, two daughters; Laura and Victoria, as well as six grandchildren; Natalie, Rajan, Alexander, Emma, Justin and Darius. She is also survived by her brother William, and her nephews, Michael and David.
There will be a funeral on Friday, September 15th at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 East Michigan Avenue in Lansing at 3:00 p.m.
