Age 91, born November 14, 1919 to Thomas and Sarah (Nelson) Brooks, passed away March 22, 2011. Mr. Brooks is a veteran, serving proudly in the U.S. Navy. He worked 40 years for Fisher Body, retiring in 1980, as Superintendent of Industrial Engineering. Surviving is his loving family: Wife, Arlene Brooks; daughter, Mary Sue Brooks; son, Douglas (Linda) Brooks; grand-daughter, Jennifer (Charles) Strezo; and great grandson, Reid. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 1900 Boston Blvd., Lansing, MI with Rev. Jane Ellen Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Deepdale Cemetery in Lansing. The family will receive friends at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing, MI on Friday, March 25, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Those desiring may make contributions to the Grace United Methodist Church, in memory of Mr. Brooks.
