

of Lansing, MichiganJames (Jim) McMillin Feehery was a kind-hearted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and best friend. He passed away at home on Thursday, July 17, 2008 after 86 happy, fulfilling years of life. Jim was a graduate of St. Benedict High School, Detroit, Michigan in 1940. He served his country as a Captain in the Marine Corps. Jim was proud of his days as a fighter pilot flying Corsairs during WWII and ADs and Jets in the Korean War. He obtained his Bachelor and Master Degrees from Wayne State University. He retired from the State of Michigan Department of Social Services ? Children Camp Licensing and Adult Foster Care Division in 1985. Jim devoted his retirement to spending time with his family and friends. He generated warmth and love through his blue eyes, gentle touch and endearing smile. His quick wit, quiet strength and unconditional giving were an inspiration to all. His parents, Martin and Harriett Feehery, of Detroit, MI, preceded him in death. Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Marian Feehery; daughters, Suzi (Sami) Feehery, Pat Feehery, Susan Feehery, Carolynne (Karl) Bohnhoff; son, James Martin (Maria) Feehery; grandchildren, Kopavi (Lisa) Delise, Jamie (David) Meredith, Megan Burton, Justin Ford (fiancee, Kelli Nixon), Heather Feehery, Sean Feehery, Claudia (Brey) Hansford, Karla Fajardo; great-grandchildren, Daniel Burton, Davin Delise, Dylan and Cody Marcotte; sister, Aileen (Jerry) Nolan; nephews, Patrick, Denis, Gary Nolan; and many friends. The family will be holding a memorial ?Irish Wake? to celebrate Jim?s life 2:00-5:00PM on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at his home, 1713 Opaline Drive, Lansing 48917. The family welcomes your presence.
