

He was born on February 11, 1949 in Findlay, OH to his parents John Lewis Kiser and Henrietta Ranes Kiser.
His education included Findlay High School, Findlay, Ohio, Howell High School, Howell, Michigan, Eckerd College, St Petersburg, FL, and Columbia Theological Seminary, Decatur, GA
Shortly after his move from Ohio to Florida in 1980, he joined the Maitland Presbyterian Church and faithfully served there for many years as a Ruling Elder and member of the Clown Ministry team.
Following ordination in 1990 as a Minister of the Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA), he served churches in South Carolina, Nebraska and Missouri. In addition, he served as Professor of Religion & Philosophy and Campus Chaplain, Missouri Valley College, Marshall, MO and as Assistant Director of the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center, Naperville, IL
He will be remembered for his extraordinary sense of humor; his immense and unfailing love for, and pride in, his family; and his infectious and boisterous laugh and amusing imagination. He was a master at preaching, praying, and sharing his deep faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer K Oelfke (Steve) and Grandsons, Konnor W Oelfke and Kellan J Oelfke, Holmes Beach, FL, siblings Judy House, Grand Ledge, MI and Bill Kiser (Kathy), Hardeeville, SC, Jan Kiser, FL, Stephanie Ophelia, CA, Jerame Gray, KS, Kim House, IL, Q Kiser (Ann Alspaugh), IL and Jonathan Huss, MI.
He is predeceased by his parents, John and Henrietta Kiser, brother, Josh Kiser, brother-in-law, James House, and stepson, Mathew Gray.
Burial for James will take place at a later date.
