Janet DeRose Litrenta

After high school, Janet went to work for her family business, DeRose Distributing, which later became Dan Henry Distributing, where she remained a valuable employee until her passing. She was also a business owner, running South Washington Food Market alongside her husband.

In her spare time, she loved spending time with family. She enjoyed various craft projects including a love of pottery. She was also a member of the Lansing Corvette Club.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Carlo Litrenta; her parents Michael and Patricia (Scott) DeRose; father and mother-in-law Natale and Virginia (Baldino) Litrenta; Sister-in-law Diane Michaud; Aunt Jerrie (LZ Douglas) Williams; and Uncle Roger Lee Scott.

She is survived by her seven siblings: Frank DeRose, Eva (Ron) Motz, Christine DeRose, Theresa DeRose (Sharon), Patricia DeRose (Sandy), Michelle DeRose and Martha (Chuck) Slager; Sister-in-law Rose Perna and brother-in-law Mario Michaud. As well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Gorsline-Runciman Tiffany Chapel, 3232 West Saginaw Street, Lansing, MI 48917, on March 23, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a rosary service at 7 PM.

Funeral Service will be held at St. Mary Cathedral, 219 Seymour Ave, Lansing, MI 48933 on March 24, 2026, at 10:00 am, with visitation prior starting at 9 am.

A Committal Service will take place, following the funeral, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, 2520 W Willow St, Lansing, MI 48917.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greater Lansing Food Bank and American Cancer Association-Michigan.
