Jay was a loving fiancé, son, brother, uncle, grandson, friend, and devoted father. He loved riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing and pretty much anything outdoors. Jay was funny, loving, caring, stubborn, and pig-headed, but loyal to a fault. If he loved you, he would go to war for you. Once he cared for you, you were locked in, and he would do anything for you…until you did him wrong. Family was everything to Jay, he loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, and his girls were his world. He would tell everyone about his girls, and you could visibly see him light up whenever he talked about them. He could always make you smile no matter how angry or upset you were. Jay could never be summed up in a few words, he had a big personality and people were drawn to him, he made friends just about anywhere he went. Jay spent quite a bit of time in the hospital the last few years and became close with some of the people that cared for him, some of them have let us know that he has impacted their lives as well and shaped how they care for their patients. He was convinced he was invincible most of his life and made it one of his life missions to prove doctors wrong when they said he couldn’t do something; he was always up for an adventure and to just have fun…especially if it was outside.
He is survived by his fiancée, Tiffany Shelton; daughters, Brynlee, Natalia and August; son, Tobias; his mother, Melinda Ball; his bonus parents, Jeannie DeLong-Jackson (David Sr.); grandparents, Nellie Garvie, Juanita Buchner, D.Ann (Dan) Knapp, David (Nedra) Ball; siblings, Andrea (Charles) Feuss, Sean Ball, Ashley Ball, Anthony Quarles, Amber Denney, Melinda Tetreau, Sharayah Ball (Ray McGill), Desiree Ball (Brandon Hoppe); bonus siblings, Mikey Winnie, Joshuah Lewis, Joey Foreback-Marcera, Chris Borton, Ryan Hinckley, Demetri Clanton, Tyler Brown, Timothy Belen (Katie Wheeler), Clinton Thomas, J.T.
