Age 78, Our loving father, brother, and uncle passed away unexpectedly July 4, 2016. Born July 22, 1937 in Lansing, MI the son Charles & Josephine Abraham. John was a 1955 graduate of St. Mary High School in Lansing and a U.S. Army veteran. He worked 7 years in the Aeronautics Department, before retired in 1994 as a contract specialist with the Department of Management and Budget, in the State of Michigan after 34 years of service. He was a member of St. Gerard Church. He enjoyed working in his yard and gardening. He was a devoted and caring husband and father.

Surviving are his son John R. Abraham, Jr.; 2 brothers, Richard "Dick" Abraham, and Robert Abraham; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends. John was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Angeline "Anglie" Abraham in 2009; his parents, and 4 brothers, Ed, Bud, Louie, and George.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Saturday with the Funeral Liturgy 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 23, 2016 at St. Gerard Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing with Fr. John P. Klein presiding. Rite of committal St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a fund for John Jr. or to St. Gerard Church in memory of John Abraham,Sr.
