

He attended Everett High School and MSU, obtaining a degree in Psychology with a minor in Middle Eastern History.
John retired from Michigan Works as a program assistant.
He was a humble man who lived a simple life centered around his deep faith. His favorite times were spent in the woods with the wild life all around him.
He belonged to several wild life organizations and supported their philosophy of protecting the animals and their habitats.
Being an avid reader, he maintained a large library of history, animal life and theology books.
John was very proud of and studied his Irish heritage.
He is survived by his faithful and caring friends, Robert Gress, Darleen Wirt, Robert Szalankiewicz, and many friends from Grace United Methodist Church, Mayflower Congregational Church and Zion Lutheran Church, especially Reverand Burger who provided spiritual comfort for John during his last days. He leaves behind his neighbors, Cathy and Kelli who shared their interest and care for him.
He is predeceased by his parents; good friend, Bob Pearson, and his canine companion, “Dutchess,” who was the light of his life for many years.
Well done good and faithful servant, rest from your labors and rejoice in the glory of your new life in Heaven.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2pm on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Greenwood Cemetery, 4350 Cemetery Road, Fowlerville, MI 48836.
