Juanita Ledesma was born on April 26, 1918, in Dilley, Texas, the daughter of the late Victor and Angelita (San Miguel) Ledesma, and passed away October 3, 2013 at the age of 95. After many years as farm laborers, the family settled in Mason in the early 1940’s. After her father’s death, Juanita became sole provider. With the help of her mother, she raised seven children. She retired from Dines Restaurant in downtown Lansing in 1980. After raising her own children, she went on to raise five grandchildren. She never passed a child she didn’t want to hug and kiss. Children loved her too. Though not affiliated with any church in the area, she was raised Christian and instilled the value of God in our lives. She was respected by those who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A special thanks to Ingham County Medical Care Facility staff; to the nurses and aides who make it their mission that each patient be treated with dignity and love, thank you.
