Julia Dean

Passed away peacefully at her home in DeWitt, MI, on April 21, 2011 at the age of 76. Born on July 7th, 1934, in Bath, MI, Julia was the second daughter of four children of James and Jenny (Mitchell) Saub. Julia was raised in Bath and lived most of her adult life in Lansing, MI. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Marie Abraham, and brother Jerry Saub. Julia worked for the State of Michigan for 34 years, 24 years of which she worked in the Criminal Intelligence Unit of the Michigan State Police. Julia loved her family and she loved to travel, especially to visit her children on their many varied and vast life journeys.

Julia is survived by her long time loving partner and husband in spirit Philip Farhood, her four children, Dr. Robert J. (Wendy) Dean, Kimberly A. Dean, Brian Dean and Susan M. Dean (Michael Dunn), 6 grand children, 1 great grand child, brother David (Mary) Saub, brother-in-law Robert Abraham, and sister-in-law Joanie Saub, many nieces and nephews, and loving friends and extended family members.

The family will receive friends and family at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 West Saginaw, Lansing, MI 48917, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, with a memorial service commencing at 11:00 and luncheon to immediately follow.
