June Marie Brainerd

June Marie Brainerd, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, died peacefully on September 27, 2016, in Mason, MI. She was born in Lansing on August 10, 1928, to Earl and Estella (Baughman) Sprague. June was a lifelong resident of the Lansing area and graduated from Eastern High School in 1946. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Lansing for 37 years. June loved to read, play bingo, and spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Robbin and Jesse Richburg; sister, Bonnie Williams; grandchildren Sean (Marli) Richburg, Kipp Richburg, and Courtney (Brian) Isanhart; great-grandchildren Hannah, Jesse, Ian, Ashley, and Austin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Roger; her husband of 62 years, Kenneth; and her sisters, Aletha and Leona.

The family sincerely thanks the staff of Craft Care Home and Great Lakes Home Health and Hospice for their compassionate care over the past six years.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E Michigan Ave, Lansing, MI, on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at 1:00 pm, with visitation one hour prior. A graveside service will be held in Lansing at Deepdale Memorial Park, where June will be laid to rest next to her husband.
