Died September 25, 2011. Kathleen was born August 25, 1925 and was a lifelong resident of Lansing, Michgan. She was the daughter of Howard and Marguerite Sweet. She was a 1943 graduate of Everett High School and held a B. A. degree from MSU and Master’s degree in public administration from Western Michigan University. For the majority of her working career, Kathleen worked for the State of Michigan in civil service, her last position being that of a federal grants manager for the Department of Mental Health, retiring in 1989. After retirement Katleen spent time, between trips to Europe and the far east, at her studio on S. Washington Square where she pursued her avocations of watercolor painting and handweaving. In addition, her proudest achievement was becoming an ordained minister in the Fellowship for Today’s Church. Kathleen in survived by her husband, Milton; daughter Julie and granddaughter McCauley Finnegan of Park City, Utah; son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Dawne Coe of Lansing and sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Arthur Godoshian of Benzonia.
