Kenneth Waylan Carter

Lansing, MI

Born April 30, 1918 in Miners Mill, MI, to James and Ellen Carter, passed away December 26, 2011 at the age of 93. Mr. Carter served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He retired from FMC John Bean Corp after 28 years of service. He enjoyed golf and bowling and was an avid sports fan, especially, MSU as well as the Detroit Lions and Tigers. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Versavean; and his grandson, Kenneth W. Carter III. Surviving are his son, Kenneth W. (Patricia) Carter, Jr.; daughters, Sondra (Fred) Klepper, Dona Jones, Sherry (Rodney) Beals, Terry (Louis) Anthony and Klisti (Art) Coscarelli; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Vincent De Paul Home for Children, Inc. 2800 W.
