Kevin was born December 28, 1958 in Flint Michigan to Daniel and Joanne Smith and graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1978.
Kevin married the love of his life Julia Ann Bond, and her children on November 20th 1999 in Salt Lake City, Utah,- she preceded him in death. The most heartbreaking loss in his life was the death of his beautiful daughter Breyanna Maree Smith in 2014 and he struggled mightily to recover from that loss.
Kevin loved to travel having lived in Michigan, Idaho, Arkansas, Utah, South Carolina, and Florida to name a few places. Kevin was a cowboy and ranch hand in Idaho, he sold Motorcycles in Utah, installed burglar alarms in Flint, and sold burglar systems nationwide. He lived life as he chose and accepted the goods and the base of that choice. He and Julia embarked on the ultimate dream of selling everything, buying a boat and living on the waters of the Caribbean with Julia as his retirement adventure. As the saying goes – If you want to hear God laugh, tell him your plans… He spent the last 9 months working on a plan to recover from years of damage to his body here in Michigan, always surrounded by rescued and foster puppies and their mommas! He loved the puppies!
Kevin is survived by daughter Rebecca Benesh, sons Ian and Sean Ellicott and grand daughters Jade, Savannah, and Mikayla Benesh. Siblings Robin Henry (Keith) of Michigan, Keith Smith (Susan) of Florida, and Tracy Conley (Jeff) of Michigan, and very special friends Leo and Kelly Brancheau, Norman and Phylis Lefevre, and Herb Carver.
Kevin is Predeceased by his wife Julia, his daughter Breyanna, his parents, his grandparents and his faithful Miss Lily.
