L. Leon Williams passed peacefully into the arms of his loving Savior on Thursday, January 29, 2026. With the courage and spirit of a former MSU Spartan athlete, Leon bravely fought pancreatic cancer to have more time with his family and friends.
Leon was employed with the Probate/30th Circuit Court. He dedicated 22 years of service to youth and families.
Leon was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, mentor, coach, self-taught barbecue pitmaster, and home chef.
Leon is survived by his wife of 31 years, Tammy; his treasured sons, Travis and Casey; sisters, Aleta, Ramona, and Dorothy; brother-in-law, David (Paulette); and many cherished nieces and nephews.
With tremendous gratitude, the family would like to thank all those who supported them on this long and challenging journey.
An urn committal will take place on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 12:30 PM at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 1800 E Mt. Hope Ave., Lansing, MI 48910, Pastor Norm Burger of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church officiating.
