Len Avery Smith was born in Detroit January 27, 1954 and left his family suddenly on August 2, 2007. He was a loving son, brother, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his sons, Jason (Michelle) Smith, Ryan (Jessica) Smith, and Paul Smith; his daughter, Paige Smith; and his precious grandsons, Keagan & Kaden Smith; mother, Ina M. Schmid; sisters, Bonnie Smith, and Peggy Schmid; special friend and the mothers of his children, Janine Nierenberger, and Terri Smith. Len graduated from Waverly High School class of 1971, and later graduated from Davenport College with the highest honors. He was employed with General Motors for 30 years. Len was an avid M.S.U. fan and loved dancing and golfing. No one was safe from his wicked sense of Humor!

Len was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Sunday with services 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 6, 2007 in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Pastor Roger K. Straub of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church officiating.
