Lenell Rarue Brown

Lenell Rarue Brown was called from this life February 7, 2018. She was born December 9, 1959 to Ollie Mae Brown and Leo Howard in Sikeston, Misouri. The family moved to Benton Harbor Michigan where she attended Benton Harbor High School before moving to Lansing Michigan. She was an employee of the Red Roof Inn and Michigan Department of Transportation.

Lenell was proceeded in death by her mother, Ollie Mae Brown and her beloved partner for 20 years, Cliford McMillian. She leaves to cherish all of her wonderful memories two daughters, Dekedah and Erica Brown of Lansing Michigan, one son, Jari (Melanie) Brown, of Ypsilanti Michigan; three sisters, Stephanie and Patricia Brown of Lansing Michigan, Tracy Anderson of Lawrenceville Georgia; two step-sisters Debra Howard, Linda (Kevin) Howard Lawson of Chicago Illinois; one step-brother Leo (Maryann) Howard of St. Paul Minnesota; five granddaughters, Damisha Brown, Shatroya Jernigan, Stephanie Brown, Simone Brown and Faryn Brown; one grandson, Diquon Brown; one great grandson, X'zayvion Jernigan; two nieces; two nephews; four great nephews; four great nieces; special friends Pia Rogers and Vergie Pearl; and a host of family and friends.

,She enjoyed being with her family, playing cards, singing, listening to music and playing bingo. Lenell was a wonderful mother and was affectionately known as "Mama" to many. Her sense of humor, compassion and cooking will surely be missed by those who knew her.

Memorial Services are 1 PM Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with visitation from 12 Noon to time of service.
