

Linda L. Sears was born on January 22, 1940 in Lansing, the daughter of the late Byron and Margaret (Bergan) Bahl, and passed away on November 24, 2015 in Kokomo, Indiana at the age of 75. She was born and raised in Lansing and has been a resident of Grand Ledge since 1974. She retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Linda was a United Way volunteer, a race car driver in Tennessee and Foster Mother to two boys. She was preceded in death by her parents, and granddaughter Jackie Schrauben. Surviving to cherish her memory are daughters, Debra (Chris) Houk and Diana (Richard) Schrauben; son, Douglas Sears; grandchildren, Talena (Joel) Davis, Trevar (Mary Harris) Hogan, Mackenzie and Casey Sears, Phillip and Jared Schrauben, Eric and Jeremy Houk; six great grandchildren; and siblings, Rodney (Carol Sue) Bahl, Dale (Carol Barbara) Bahl and John “Roger” (Mary) Bahl, Carol Ann (Don) Bidinger. A funeral will be celebrated at 12:00, Noon on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Christ Lutheran Church, 122 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends from 10:00-12:00 before the service. For those desiring, contributions may be made to the Capitol Area Humane Society, in memory of Linda L. Sears.
