Age 91, Lloyd F. Monroe died Saturday, February 22, 2014 in Muskegon, Michigan. Born in Webberville, Michigan, he was a lifelong resident of the Webberville and Williamston areas. He was a Williamston Community Schools employee, retiring in 1984. Lloyd was an active member of the Masons and Eastern Stars for many years. In his early years he called square dances around the area and for a time had his own band.
Lloyd’s wife, Emily, predeceased him, as did his brother, Virgil Monroe, and sister, Viva Monroe Rowse. He was survived by his children, Edie Dykeman, of Spring Lake, Michigan, Bill Monroe (Chong), of Swansea, Illinois, and Marilyn Sue Monroe, of Sandy, Utah; four grandchildren, Barbara (Lloyd Rodriguez) and Debra Dykeman, and Chris (Karen) and Janet Monroe; four great grandchildren, David Rodriguez, and Shannon, Isla and Sofia Monroe. He was also survived by dear friends Arnold and Evelyn Rowse.
