In 1984, Louie married the love of her life, David "Dave" Peto. For over 40 years, they shared a selfless marriage focused on caring for and supporting one another.
In her younger years, Louie had a passion for singing and dancing. She was known for her flair for fashion and her unique sense of style. She was a great conversationalist and always easy to talk with. Much of her time was spent with family, especially with her grandchildren who all brought her immense joy. Louie will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity that touched all who knew her.
Louie is survived by her loving husband, David Peto; children, David (Lori) Buffington, Ann Buffington, Robert (Beth) Buffington; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews, sharing a close bond with her nephew Gary Newton. Louie will be missed greatly by her and Dave's sweet dog, Reeses, who was always by her side.
A memorial service for Louie will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with a one-hour prior visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at South Church, 5250 Cornerstone Dr., Lansing, MI 48917.
