Lucetta C. “Lu” Mayhew, age 93, born and raised in Lansing, found eternal rest with her Lord on May 19th, 2026. She is now with her parents, Clemmens & Anna Halfmann; sister, Theresa Housler; and husband of 46 years, Jack H.Mayhew.
She is survived by her brother, Keith Halfmann; daughter, Jamie L. Mayhew (Joe Feliciano) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lu was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 701 and a generous and frequent donor to multiple charitable organizations.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 12:30 pm until the Funeral Mass at 1:30 pm at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W. Willow Hwy., Lansing, MI 48917. Entombment will follow with Rite of Committal at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing.
There will be a family lead Rosary beginning at 12:15 pm at the church prior to the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause she dearly loved (please find link below).
