Luis Solis

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Frances (Nieto) Solis; his four children, Paulina Mason, Brenda Solis, Joe Solis and Luis Solis; his children through marriage, Joseph Montalvo, Esther Montalvo, Daniel Montalvo, Larry Montalvo, Frances B. Verwey, and Agustin Montalvo (Douglas J. Austin); and 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 34 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paulina and Jose Regalado; his sisters, Chelo and Tomasa Regalado; sons, Ricardo Montalvo, Alfredo Montalvo, and Abel Montalvo; and son-in-law, Russell E. Verwey.

Luis was born May 30, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas, and moved with his family to Adrian, Michigan. In 1973 he and Frances were married, and moved to Lansing. He was employed at Wohlert Corporation, and later with Demmer Corporation, celebrating 20 years of service when he retired in 2018. He was a long-time member of Life Christian Church in Lansing.

Luis will be remembered most for his endless love of Frances and the rest of his family, and will be deeply missed by all of us.

Following a funeral service on November 18, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Chapel in Lansing, Luis will be interred in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing.
