Marcia Jean Bennett

Age 82, our loving wife, mother, and grandmother went home to her Lord on December 18, 2015. Born June 2, 1933 in Owosso, MI where she was raised. Marcia graduated from M.S.U. in 1955 with her Bachelor's degree in Education. She was a lifelong teacher, along with caring for her family and raising 5 sons. She taught in several elementary schools including Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Lansing. She was a proud charter member of St. Gerard Church. She was a volunteer at the Delta Township Library and St. Lawrence Gift Shop.

Marcia is survived by her loving, devoted husband of 59 years, Jerome Donald Bennett; her 4 sons, Michael Jeffrey (Joanne) Bennett, David Patrick Bennett, John Douglas (Cheryl) Bennett, and Thomas Miller Bennett, her 4 grandchildren Nicole Patrice Bennett, Michael Jerome Bennett, Jacob Patrick Bennett, and Matthew Barrix. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Christopher Bennett 2008, grandson, Kyle Richard Bennett 2007, and her parents, Delia M. & Max F. Miller

Visitation will be from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Tuesday with the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Liturgy will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 23, at St. Gerard Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing with Fr. John P. Klein presiding. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Wednesday at church. Rite of committal St. Joseph Cemetery.
