Marcus "Marco Polo" Hayt Schrauben

East Lansing, MI

Born March 30, 1990 in Lansing, died, October 14, 2011 at the age of 21. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Lyle Johnson and great-grandma, Emma Sweet. Surviving is his mother, Melissa Hayt; dad, Doug Schrauben; brothers, Gage Allen, Jadan and Ethan; grandparents; Debra (Don) Kipper and Sandy McCarrick; great-grandma, Charlotte Johnson; Uncles, Raymond Hayt and Kevin (Melissa A.) Hayt; First love, Kaitlyn; many friends, aunts and cousins. Marcus was loved by all who knew him and he loved helping and protecting them. Marcus enjoyed basketball, video games and movies. He had a way of crinkling his nose, letting his mom and friends know that everything was ok. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2011, 2:00 p.m., at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing with the Rev. Kevin Shoemaker of Capital City Vineyard Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 11- 2:00 p.m. Should friends desire, contributions may be made to his family, in care of, Capital City Vineyard Church, 1635 Coolidge Road, East Lansing, 48823 in memory of Marcus.
