It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, Mark Joseph Freund on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. He was born March 19, 1942 in Westphalia, MI, the third son of Clarence and Milberg (Wieber) Freund.
Mark was a highly respected home builder in Lansing for 50 years and served as president of the Home Builders Association. He graduated from St. Mary's High School in Westphalia where he was an avid basketball player. He also enjoyed playing golf, skiing and following the Tigers, Lions and college sports.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers: Ken and Roy. He is survived by his brothers: Robert, Luke and Stanley; sister: Ann Lewis; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Mark will be held Monday, August 26, 2024 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Tiffany Chapel, 3232 West Saginaw St. Lansing, MI 48917. A Rosary Service will begin at 7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 10:30am with a visitation one hour prior at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 W Willow Hwy Lansing, MI 48917.
