Marlene Eggert

of Lansing, MichiganAge 70, died July 10, 2008 in Lansing. Marlene was born April 30, 1938 in Ithaca, Michigan and was the daughter of David and Roma (Emery) Havens. Marlene was an avid reader, enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting, needlepoint work and hanging out with her grandkids. She was a docent for Potter Park Zoo. Her favorite place to go everyday was the Coffee Jam where she loved her coffee and friends. Marlene?s family was very important to her. Surviving are her daughters, Sherril (Kevin) Studley of Concord, Catherine (Richard) Smeage of Holt, Brenda (Dan) Dredge of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Emilee Studley, Samantha Smeage, Alexandra Smeage, Seth Dredge, Paige Dredge; sisters, Carol (Keith) Thompson, Daleene Grandy. She was preceded in death by her husband, James ?Jim? (October 2007); daughter, Camilla Eggert; parents, David and Roma (Emery) Havens. A Service of Remembrance is 2:00PM Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 West Saginaw, Lansing 48917 with a visitation 1 hour prior to service. Rev. Wesley B. Emerson will be officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Potter Park Zoological Society, 1301 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, Lansing 48912 or Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 W. Grand River Avenue, Lansing 48906 in memory of Marlene.
