Mary Ruth Convis

Mary Ruth Convis, 76, passed peacefully with her family by her side on January 29, 2016. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was born on September 03, 1939 to Henrietta and Joseph Sherman in Barryton, MI. She is survived by her husband George, son Dennis, daughter Susan Kelly (Kyle), granddaughter Jessica Minor, grandson Joshua Convis, four step-grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, one brother and three sisters. She enjoyed gardening and traveling with her husband. She loved all children and especially enjoyed doing crafts, baking and putting puzzles together with them. Her smile lit up any room she was in and she will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like Kyle Kelly, Corey Kelly, Joshua Convis and Brandon Ballard to act as casketbearers to honor Mary’s life for the interment service. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Tuesday, February 2, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing, M. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 7 pm. Contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 W.
