Mary C. Fabiano

Delta Township

On December 11, 2015, Mary passed from this earth to her heavenly home with the knowledge her family was with her through her journey. Mary was born December 12, 1920 in Mt. Pleasant, MI. She attended the St. Lawrence School of Nursing, graduating in 1942. She met her husband, John Fabiano while attending nursing school and was married June 8, 1943. She and her husband owned Fabiano's Market in Lansing until his tragic death in 1975. She returned to nursing at General Motors Fisher Body until her retirement. She was a long time member of Holy Cross and St. Gerard Catholic parishes belonging to the St. Gerard Women's Honor Guard and the Association of Catholic Women. Mary loved her Lord, her family, her church, and her M.S.U. Spartans. She was a devoted supporter of the Delta Township and Looking Glass Firefighters and Fire Departments.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Fabiano, her parents, Frank & Virginia Spagnuolo, her brothers, Dr. Alfred Spagnuolo, and P. Robert Spagnuolo. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Ginny (Mike) Flynn, sons, Paul (Leslie) Fabiano and Steve (Cindy) Fabiano, 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 4 great- great-grandchildren, sister Betty Wichelman and sister-in-law Ann Spagnuolo.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday with a 7:00 P.M. Rosary in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Liturgy is 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, December 15, at St. Gerard Church, 4437 W. Willow, Lansing with Fr. John P. Klein presiding. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M. Tuesday at the church. Rite of committal St. Joseph Cemetery. The family wishes to express our love and gratitude to New Life Assisted Living and Great Lakes Hospice for their amazing care and love they showered on Mary.
