Mom and I will miss Tillie but we know she was truly ready to go. She was quite a character!! We couldn't make the service but wanted you to know how special she was to us.

Sorry for your loss. You all were fortunate to share time with her for such a long time. She was such a sweetheart and fun to be around.

Tillie you were a wonderful woman with a great sense of humor. You will be sorely missed for a long time to come. I'll miss our late night visits and always interesting conversations. The one thing I'll never forget is the way you'd slap me on the arm and say "oh you" and laugh when i was telling you the latest updates of the caregiver life lol You were like the grandma figure that everyone wishes they had but only a select few ever get to experience. Your family was very lucky to have you for so long. To all of her family, I truly am sorry for your loss. She was one in a million.

Tilly was such a strong, friendly, independent, and positive influence to all of us at Delta Retirement Center. She was always kind, and enjoyed knowing all the new people who moved in. In fact, she would take an active role in helping new folks feel welcomed and helped acclimate them to join the activities and understand how to get around the building itself. She loved staying on top of world current events, and every afternoon she would listen to Talking Books ~ enjoying the latest novel or biography. Tilly didn't let life get her down, and if it did, she usually found a solution around it. I loved it when she would come to me and ask, "OK, what can I do to help?" She would walk around Delta Retirement and tape signs on doors for events, or suggest an activity she thought many would enjoy doing. She enjoyed every party at Delta. Tilly is a hero to me. She lived life and brought life into all of our lives. God bless all of you who are her loved ones.

I wanted you, Sandie, your mom and your sisters to know how sorry I was to hear about your Gramma "Tilllie". Unfortunately, death is a part of life. I was glad to hear that you made it in time. She may have been waiting for you to get there. Hospice was there when my father passed away. It may sound macabe but it was a good experience. As good as dying can be. I made a donation to Hospice Advantage in Tillie's name. I wish nothing but peace for you and your family. Soon pain of the loss will focus all the good memories of the times you had together into clear view. Our time here is fleeting, we best make the most of it.
