Michael Erwin Brewster

He was born May 23, 1956 in Lansing MI son of Leo and Geraldine Brewster. Michael

graduated from Harry Hill High School in 1975 and then went on to attended Michigan

State University where he pursued a nursing degree until he had an injury that

prevented him from reaching that goal. Michael spent several years working for

Easterseals where he took great pride in his role as a Transportation Coordinator – he

loved that he was able to help play a role in ensuring those who needed medical care in

his community were able to get rides to and from appointments.

Michael had a great love for his family and spent as much time with them as he could.

You could rest assured knowing that if you were the sibling, niece or nephew standing

in front of him that you were certain to be called his favorite. His nieces and nephews

may very well have hung the moon and the stars in his eyes. It didn’t matter if they had

just given him the thousandths coloring page of the day of a frog (his favorite animal),

hanging out watching TV or just having a casual conversation online – he always had

time to check in and make sure you didn’t need anything he could help with. Michael’s

favorite quote was: Don’t worry about tomorrow until it gets here, which describes him

and his easy going personality beautifully.

He was proceeded in death by his wife of 16 years, Betty Lou Brewster, his parents Leo

Leroy and Geraldine Agnes Brewster, his Sisters Cynthia Joe Brewster and Jane Agnes

Day as well as his Brother Leo Walter Brewster.

He is survived by his longtime girlfriend Barbara Spicknall (Haslett MI), his brothers

Robert Leroy (Janice) Brewster of Whiteland IN, and Patrick Alan (Cheryl) Brewster of

Mesquite TX, his sister Sandra Jean (Timothy) Schieberl of Red Oak TX as well as

numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday June 1, 2021 at Chapel Hill

Cemetery located at 444 W Grand River Ave, Lansing MI 48906. The family is being
