Mildred Mary Knapp

Millie Knapp was born on August 12, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of the late Edmund and Alma (Dankelman) Ludwig and passed away on October 2, 2013 at the age of 90. She was born, raised and educated in Chicago, Illinois. She joined the US Army in 1945 as a Registered Nurse. Millie worked as a nurse for most of her career, retiring from Dr. Justin Sleight’s office in 1993. She loved playing golf and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William H. Knapp, and all of her siblings. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Gloria (Dan) Hoolsema; three sons, Richard A. (Kerri), Tom (Chris) and Terry (Kip); and thirteen grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 7, 2013 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 E. Michigan Ave, Lansing, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 2:00~5:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
