Lansing
Has gone home to be with the Lord on July 6, 2017, at the age of 74. Born September 24, 1942 in Lansing, MI. Monte was a veteran serving with the U.S. Marines from 1962-68. He was the owner-operator for 25 years of the 7-Eleven Store at Michigan Ave at Waverly Road. He later was the Deli Manager at the Lake Lansing Meijer until his retirement. He was a long time member and past-president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1039.
Surviving are his 3 children, Rodney (Mary Ellen) Sickles, Susan Ann Cross, and Peggy (David) Warner; 6 beautiful grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Carl (Sue) Fish; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation is from 12:00 - 1:00 P.M. Tuesday with services 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Pastor David A. Davis of St. Luke Lutheran Church-Christ Campus officiating. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
