Montel Allen Smith

Montel Allen Smith was born on November 12, 1992 in Lansing, MI. He attended Mount Hope Church and accepted the Lord as his personal Savior at a very young age. He graduated from Waverly High School and was on the Varsity Basketball and Track & Field teams. He attended Lansing Community College and Spring Arbor University on basketball scholarships.

Montel volunteered in various communities. He was currently employed at Kamin's Auto Parts Plus. Montel had a great personality and a love for people. He always greeted everyone with an infectious smile.

On Thursday, April 23, 2015 he was called home to be with his Lord and Savior. Montel was preceded in death by his Great Grandmother Magnolia Fowler, Great Grandparents Lincoln & Lucille Murry, Walter Mack Sr. & Emma Mae Crum and Grandfather Charles M. White. He leaves to cherish his parents Jerome and Lexava Smith, sisters Jenelle and Alexis Smith, Grandmothers Lillian White and Gloria Smith, Grandfather Walter Jr. (Ruby) Crum. He also leaves a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation is from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday in Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Services will be 12:00 Noon Friday, May 1, at Mount Hope Church, 202 S. Creyts Rd, Lansing. Viewing will be from 11 to 12 Noon Friday at church. Interment will be in Delta Center Cemetery. Friends may visit the guest book at www.tiffanyfuneralhome.com.
